We Spent Over A Year Waiting For Mr. Wright
– Our Process Finally Landed Him
At EGM, Even If You Say “Not Today”
We Stay In Touch Until You’re Ready
We’ve all seen it before – the overly aggressive salesman who won’t leave your property until they get you to sign for a bathroom remodel in Orange County, CA. Every time you say you’re not interested, they’ll spend almost an hour running around in circles with sales pitches – hoping to convince you otherwise.
Once you firmly decline, they disappear completely, leaving you with a poor impression of contractors in general.
Then, when you finally say no, they disappear – never to be heard from again.
We would like to assure you that during our free in-home consultation, our bathroom remodeling contractors in Orange County, CA, will not pressure you into a contract. Our goal is to provide clear information and allow you the time and space necessary to make the best decision for your needs.
We’ll be available for as long as it takes – following up periodically, even if it takes a year for you to decide.
Such was the case for our design consultant, Edgar Montano, and the San Clemente, CA couple, Mr. and Mrs. Wright.
A Big Project Takes Time And Patience
In 2024, Mr. and Mrs. Wright had a huge master bathroom remodel that they wanted to tackle. Mrs. Wright herself had already shopped around for other contractors to do the job, and even got an interior designer to start on a rendering for their future remodel.
Unfortunately, the interior designer she hired failed to complete the rendering. They left the work unfinished and stopped communicating entirely.
Eventually, Mr. Wright contacted EGM Construction for a free in-home consultation. Our office communicated the customers’ concerns to our team. Edgar decided to personally meet with the homeowners.
He reassured Mr. & Mrs. Wright that, despite the challenges they experienced with their previous rendering services, EGM Construction could complete their project within their desired timeframe.
But after their encounter with the last bathroom remodeling company, Mr. Wright wasn’t in a rush to make the same mistake again…

Patience Is A Virtue – One That Pays Off
Even after Edgar and the customers discussed every detail of the bathroom upgrade, the couple didn’t commit right away. Mr. Wright decided it would be best to wait a bit longer and asked Edgar to follow up with them at a later date.
A few weeks later, Edgar checked in as promised, only to hear that Mr. Wright still wasn’t ready to move forward and preferred another follow-up down the line. When Edgar reached out again some time after that, Mr. Wright requested yet another six months before making a decision.
Now, at this point, most sales representatives would have already given up on the customer, thinking that the homeowner wasn’t serious about their remodel.
Not Edgar. He respected Mr. Wright as a customer and trusted his decision to wait. He also firmly believed that patience was a virtue that paid off.
And sure enough, it finally did.
“Edgar and his team were incredibly respectful and professional from start to finish. Their communication was top-notch — they listened closely to our needs and offered great advice throughout the entire process.”
After almost a year and a half, Edgar and Mr. Wright revisited the bathroom remodel estimate. They discussed making a few changes to the original plans, and this time, Mr. Wright agreed to proceed.

Give Us An Inch, We’ll Go Hundred Miles
Once the Wrights approved, we explained the next steps and then rendered the design for their new bathroom remodel. Throughout the process, Mr. Wright and Edgar remained in constant communication.
Over the next three months, they worked closely with the couple to gather all the necessary materials they wished to incorporate into their bathroom design. After a lot of hard work, our EGM Construction installers completed the Wrights’ new bathroom, and it turned out amazing.
“The quality of work and attention to detail truly exceeded our expectations. We’re so grateful for their follow-through every step of the way.”

Communication And Perseverance Are King
So, what set Edgar and the rest of the EGM Construction apart from the other bathroom remodeling contractors?
For one, Edgar didn’t try to push Mr Wright into a sale. He gave the homeowner time to make a decision and stayed in constant communication, even though there was no guarantee Mr.Wright would commit.
And when EGM was finally given the agreement, they did what they said they would – and got it done on time.
While some contractors may move on when they feel a project will take too long to complete, we remained steadfast from beginning to end.
We completed the rendering for the project, ordered the necessary materials, and set a timeline to complete the project. From the initial installation day through to final completion, we made sure the Wright family worked with the same dedicated, professional crew every day.
“Everyone, from the workers to the owner, was extremely professional and communicative about every detail of our bathroom project.”
We ensured the couple understood every stage of the project by explaining each step as we progressed, keeping them fully informed of what to expect next. We truly wanted them to feel that we were with them every step of the way.
So, what were Mr. Wright’s thoughts about our performance?
“Edgar was amazing. The project management for our project was great. Also, the text messages that they sent every day notifying us when folks would be coming in the morning were really convenient as well.”
